Facebooks' Libra project was formally announced on June 18, 2019. The concept included a stable coin that would be backed by a basket of international currencies, and would be able to be used by Facebook's 2 billion plus users. This project would help people in the world without access to money transfer services to participate in the world economy, and would also minimize or eliminate the high fees associate with money transfers. The details of the project were not received well by banks and governments, and ever since, they have been fighting for more regulation and have slowed the project from launching. In it's current form entering 2020, it seems that Facebook's Libra project may never launch…
